An Application
ACT 17:7-8 is a good reminder that Jesus didn't come to start a political revolution. He didn't come to overthrow our governments (RO 13:1). He wants our hearts and minds (DT 6:5). Whether we prefer dictators, democracy, theocracy, gerontocracy, or otherwise, in all His teaching God never suggested nor commanded His people attempt to take power nor topple down (JN 18:36) except that love inherently tears down emotional barriers (2CO 10:3-5).
Connect the Dots
ACT 17:4 was who 1TH 1:1 and 2TH 1:1 will be written to. / ACT 17:11-12 is a wonderful compliment of the Bereans.
